Stunning Results
This project involved the complete design and development of a mobile app that helps users track their daily gambling expenses while demonstrating the potential gains from alternative investments. Users log their starting and ending balance each day, and the app runs an algorithm to show how their money could have grown if invested in gold, stocks, or other assets instead of gambling.
Quit Betting also fosters a community-driven approach. Users can add friends and compete on a leaderboard that ranks them based on their gambling reduction progress. The app features built-in goal tracking, where milestones are achieved for avoiding gambling over a set number of days, reinforcing positive habits through gamification.
But with Risks
The challenge was to create an engaging and non-judgmental platform that encourages behavior change. Striking the right balance between financial insights and motivational tools required a thoughtful design approach. However, through interactive tracking, personalized financial forecasts, and social accountability features, Quit Betting successfully provides users with the tools and motivation needed to quit gambling and make smarter financial decisions.
